I finally finished the ribbon curtain I've been s-l-o-w-l-y working on for months! I've reached my goal of removing every set of mini-blinds in the house!!! Well, except for the ones on the doors... but I'm going to pretend like those don't count. At least they don't bother me as much. I always leave them closed and I never have to futz with their stupid strings and crummy plastic twirly-stick. Ugh. It makes me mad just thinking about mini-blinds.
I know this project was a few years ago, but I love this! Could you tell me how to make one? I'd like to make a couple actually! Thanks so much!
ReplyDeleteI found this idea in a book, but alas, I cannot remember which one. I just bought a cheapo tension rod, many yards of ribbon, and some coordinating thread. I cut varying lengths of ribbon, folded the ribbon over about 1" at the top and machine stitched it, making a loop to thread on the tension rod. I put a little fray-check on the bottom of the ribbons to keep them from unraveling.
